The Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone Rental Assistance Grant will assist a Client with an opportunity to enter into the GSKIZ in order to start, grow, and take advantage of the KIZ programs. Each applicant may request up to six (6) months of subsidized office space in the Bloomsburg Regional Technology Center. The GSKIZ will:
- Provide individual cubical space in a shared room.
- Provide shared wireless or hardwired Internet service (ISP).
- Hardwired telephone service is available at tenant expense.
- No cost fax service available in KIZ office.
- Provide access to conference rooms, break and shower room, with keyless access with a 24-hour video surveillance system.
- Assistance accessing applicable KIZ, DCED and programs through KIZ partner network
Rental Assistance Grant Program
Any entrepreneur, start-up company or existing business (8 years old or less) who is physically located in any of the defined zones of the GSKIZ and falls into one of the approved Industry Clusters Information Technology, Life Sciences / Biomedical Technologies, Information Technologies, Healthcare Services, Diversified Manufacturing or Wood, etc. The GSKIZ will:
- Reimburse the Client up to $2000.00 per semester to help fund the student's completed work. Limit of two KIZ supported internships per year per Client, pending the availability of funds.
The Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone Micro Startup Grant may assist a Client with a new opportunity in one of the GSKIZ defined industries. Each applicant may request up to $5,000* per qualified opportunity, pending the availability of funds. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Business physically located in one of the GSKIZ defined zones.
- An individual/entrepreneur or an existing business eight (8) years old or less.
- Product developed must be classified into at least one of the following industry sectors:
- Information Technology software, instructional technology
- Life Sciences bio-medical, healthcare services
- Lumber and Wood Products production of wood products
- Diversified Manufacturing food processing, plastics, modular housing, etc.

R&D and IP Grant Programs
The Greater Susquehanna Keystone Innovation Zone Micro Startup Grant has two new opportunities to assist with Business Development. Each applicant may request up to $5,000* per qualified opportunity, in either research & development or seeking intellectual property opportunities, pending the availability of funds. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- All requirements that are listed in Micro Grant eligibility are required with the addition of the following:
- R&D - company must be engaged in or have had their project accepted by one of our university partners and/or research facility.
- IP - Intellectual Property - KIZ company must be seeking or in the process of obtaining a copyright, trademark or patent. This grant would be awarded to off-set those costs.
