Venture Plan Competition 2012
Eligibility Requirements and Dates to Remember

All interested venture plan competitors must:

*Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited Pennsylvania         University/College

*Use SBDC’s business plan outline model for your company’s business plan                 which can be found at: SBDC Business Plan Outline

*Meet with SBDC consultant before submitting final copy of the business plan to            vpc@gskiz.org

*Meet all deadlines for meeting with SBDC consultant and submitting business              plan draft

You may participate every year Except if you have received a cash prize from this event in prior years.  This does not apply to other competitions that were not sponsored by Bloomsburg, Bucknell or Susquehanna University and the Greater Susquehanna KIZ.

Dates to Remember

2/22/2012—First draft of business plan is due

3/15/2012—Must have met with SBDC Consultant before

3/16/2012—Must have sent final business plan to VPC@gskiz.org

3/20/2012—Will be notified of presentation schedule

4/4/2012—Competition Day.  Report to Susquehanna University for oral presentations                 according to the schedule.

Screening committee will review each plan and those that meet the basic requirements will be given the opportunity to present their business plans to a panel of judges. 
All individuals/teams will be expected to be in attendance at least 15 minutes before their presentation time.

The judges will convene at the end of the day (approximately 4:30 PM), the winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner that same evening beginning at 5 PM and ending at 8 PM.
